Reservations



Is MÁS the brand with the most complete rate?

Yes. You can find a more complete pre-paid rate, no credit card required option, no deposit option among other benefits are always available on our website www.masbymex.com.

Is it possible to book a particular car brand?

Unfortunately no. However, we can guarantee the price you booked. If the vehicle you booked is not available we will upgrade to the next car category.

Do I need a credit card to book a car?

When you are about to complete your booking, a credit or debit card will be requested. Renter may skip the deposit if arrival flight ticket and departure flight confirmation is presented at the counter. This "No deposit" option applies only when renting in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cozumel, La Paz, Loreto, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta. Do not apply for the following categories: Premium SUV (PFAR), Sport (XSAR), Sport Convertible (XTAR), Compact Convertible (CTAR), All Terrain (SJAR), Fullsize Van (FVMR, GVAR), Midsize SUV (IFAR), Standard SUV (SFAR), Luxury (LCAR) and Premium (PCAR). How do I cancel a reservation?

If your reservation was confirmed directly with our call center representatives or through our website, please use the same channel to cancel it. Más by Mex does not charge for cancellations as long as you notify us about it 48 hours before the car pick-up time. If your booking was made through a third party website, please review their site policy to avoid cancellation charges.

What is the minimum age to rent a car?

The minimum age to rent a car in Mexico is 18. Renters between 18 and 25 will be charge with an additional $10.00 USD per day plus taxes.

Where is Más by Mex located?

Más by Mex is located on the major airports and cities in Mexico. For more information please go to the "LOCATIONS" section.

What type of vehicles are offered?

Más by Mex offers a wide range of vehicles to suit all your car rental needs, from economy to convertibles, SUV's and VAN's. For more information please go to the "DRIVE IN" section.

Can I pick up the car at one location and drop it off in another?

Yes, a drop off fee will apply depending the pick-up and drop-off locations.

Do I need to leave a deposit to rent a car?

Yes. If you reserved through our website for a location in Mexico, your rate includes more benefits and the required deposit will be of $1,500.00 MXN. Renter may skip the deposit if arrival flight ticket and departure flight confirmation is presented at the counter. This "No deposit" option applies only when renting in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cozumel, La Paz, Loreto, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta. Except for the following categories: Premium SUV (PFAR), Sport (XSAR), Sport Convertible (XTAR), Compact Convertible (CTAR), All Terrain (SJAR), Fullsize Van (FVMR, GVAR), Midsize SUV (IFAR), Standard SUV (SFAR), Luxury (LCAR) and Premium (PCAR).

Can I drive the vehicle out from the state which I rented originally?

Yes, within Mexico you can drive between states. If you rent the car outside Mexico City and want to drive it there, please notify our call center in advance so we can provide you with a vehicle that comply with the Mexico City traffic regulations. If you rent the vehicle in Mexico you can also drive into the United States with the anticipated recruitment of our United States Insurance (USI). If you rent the vehicle on the U.S. you cannot cross over to Mexico. For the moment, vehicles cannot cross the border to southern countries.

How does the rent fee is calculated?

The fee is based on 24 hours periods. You will have 1 hour as courtesy at the time you return the vehicle.

Does the cost of my rent include fuel?

Más by Mex fee's does not include fuel. Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of rental to avoid refueling charges.

Do I have any tolerance at the time that I return the car?

The rent is for a period of 24 hours. You do have 1 hour courtesy to return the car. After that time you will be charged for another rental day.



Insurances & Add-ons



What insurances and waivers are offered at the time of rental?

If you are renting within Mexico, your rate already includes Total Coverage (CT). Please read our terms & conditions regarding insurances and waivers for more information.

Is it necessary to include an insurance to rent a car in Mexico?

All of our rates displayed at www.masbymex.com, within Mexico, includes coverage against claims for injury/damage you cause to third persons/their property up to $750,000.00 MXN. Limits the responsibility of the customer over the rented vehicle to a deductible of 0% of the car value, in case of accident or theft. Theft, vandalism or damage to parts and accessories are NOT covered. Also, you will be covered for medical expenses in case of accident in the rented vehicle up to $40,000.00 MXN per occupant or up to the total number of passengers according to the characteristics of the automobile. Also we will waive all, or a portion of, the cost of a roadside assistance service call up to the amount of $5,000.00 MXN per incident. Benefits include emergency road service towing, winching, jump start, flat tire change, lockout service, and emergency fuel delivery.

Is my particular insurance effective in case of an accident?

We recommend to call directly to your insurance provider for more information.

What is the cost for a child seat?

Child seats are $5.99 USD per day plus taxes each.

Can I include a GPS/WiFi at the time of rental?

Yes. Different Hotspot and TravelTab units are available from $12.00 up to $21.99 USD per day plus taxes, depending the pick up location. Please ask for more information upon arrival.

Can somebody else drive the car I rent?

Yes, additional drivers must comply with the same initial requirements (Valid Driver's licence and ID). Your rate with Más by Mex already includes 2 additional drivers free of charge.

Does the credit card and the driver's license need to be under the same name?

Yes. Más by Mex requires that the driver's license name and the credit card used for the deposit match in order to proceed with the rental.



During My Rental



What happens if I do not return the car on the same date that was originally signed?

Please contact us at +52 (33) 4170 8243 and ask for an extension on the agreement to avoid phone calls and emails asking you to return the vehicle. Additional charges for the agreement extension may be applied.

What should I do if I have troubles with the car?

Call immediately to +52 (33) 4170 8243.

What should I do if I have an accident?

Call immediately to +52 (33) 4170 8243.

What should I do if I get a flat tire?

Drive to a safe location and switch the tire for the spare one. You can also call +52 (33) 4170 8243 for assistance.

What should I do if I accidently left the car keys inside the vehicle?

Please call immediately to +52 (33) 4170 8243. The client will be responsible for the additional charges this may incurr.

Lost Keys

Call immediately to +52 (33) 4170 8243 to find out how you can get a duplicate. Most of our cars are brand new, so to create a duplicate will take a sophisticated procedure and the assistance of the dealership. The charges will be full responsibility of the client.

Does Más by Mex offer roadside assistance?

Yes. Más by Mex Rent A Car can provide roadside assistance by calling to +52 (33) 4170 8243. Additional charges may apply.

What should I do if the car run out of fuel?

It is client's responsibility to re-fuel the vehicle. If you require assistance please call to +52 (33) 4170 8243.



After My Rental



How can I get a copy of the rental agreement?

To obtain a copy of your rental agreement please call +52 (33) 4170 8243. You can also contact us via email: customer.care@mexrentacar.com.

Does Más by Mex have a forgotten items department?

If you forgot any item on the vehicle that was just delivered, make sure you call directly to the local office or to the number +52 (33) 4170 8243. We recommend to call immediately to report your forgotten items and we will do our best to find them.

How long does the forgotten items remain on Más by Mex offices?

Our policy marks 30 days after the item was found.

Who may I contact to talk about a service claim?
